Academic and Professional Biography
- Prof. Dr. Anastas Dzurovski is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Law, University St. Kliment Ohridski - Bitola, North Macedonia, where he teaches Public Finance, Financial Law and Labour Law.
- He holds two doctoral degrees: a PhD in Economics from the Faculty of Economics, UKIM Skopje, obtained in 2011, and a PhD in Law from the Faculty of Law, UKIM Skopje, obtained in 2012.
- During 2022-2025, he taught Principles of Accounting in private higher education, gaining direct experience in translating financial and accounting concepts into student-oriented learning outcomes.
- His professional background spans finance, law, accounting, digital finance, expert evidence, valuation and assurance-related practice.
Research Profile
His recent scholarly work directly corresponds with contemporary debates on digital finance, regulation and assurance. He is co-editor of the Springer book Transparency in Fintech and chapter author in the Springer book Financial Crime in the Digital Era.
His research focuses on transparency, financial regulation, digital finance, fraud, accountability and assurance. These areas connect reporting, regulation, ethics, evidence and digital tools.

Expert Evidence and Valuation Practice
Since 2007, Prof. Dzurovski has acted as a court expert in more than 1,000 cases. Since 2013, he has also acted as a property valuator in more than 2,000 cases.
This experience provides a practice-based understanding of evidence, documentation, valuation, professional judgement, independence and report quality. These competences are highly relevant for assurance education, particularly where students must learn how to collect evidence, document conclusions and assess reliability.

His previous participation in COST Action CA2013 on court efficiency and CA19130 on FinTech and Artificial Intelligence in Finance has prepared him to contribute actively to interdisciplinary European networking, capacity building and research-based outputs.
